Artist | Arts in Health Consultant

Hi there and welcome!
I'm Noelle Jolynn, or Noelle J for short. I'm an artist, arts-in-health facilitator, and consultant based in Nashville, TN.
Working at the intersections of arts and health, I have built curricula, led strategic planning and visioning processes, curated custom training and professional development, delivered guest lectures, workshops, keynotes, and more. I regularly consult on integrating creative practices as positive health behaviors for individuals, teams, organizations, and communities. As passionate about data as I am about the arts (and the arts as data), I work to combine evidence-based practice with creative, innovative approaches. I hold an M.S. in Public Health from Middle Tennessee State University (2008) and am a Nationally Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
I am an accomplished musician and photographer. Over the past decade, I have shifted my artistic practice to incorporate more abstract and mixed-media works. My works utilize shape, form, color, texture, and line to create compositions that can exist independently of visual references. Education
- Associate of Fine Arts (Music), South Plains College, 1997.
- Bachelor of Science (Psychology), Belmont University, 2001.
- Master of Science (Public Health), Middle Tennessee State University, 2008.
Further Artistic Training
- Arts in Health Facilitator Certification, National Organization of Arts in Health (NOAH) 2024.
- Apprenticeship with (professional painter) Arunima Orr, 2004.

Art Heals

Creativity for Better Health

As the saying goes, "art heals." At Arts in Health, we strongly believe in the powerful impact that the arts can have on an individual's health and well-being. That's why we specialize in providing innovative and impactful arts in health programs for our clients. But what exactly does "arts in health" mean? Simply put, it is the integration of the arts into healthcare settings, with the goal of improving the overall health and well-being of patients, staff, and the community.

At Arts in Health, we believe in the power of creativity to promote healing and well-being. Our approach is centered around utilizing various forms of art to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional health of individuals. As a healthcare organization, we understand the importance of traditional medical treatments, but we also recognize the limitations of solely relying on them. That's why we have integrated arts into our approach, recognizing its unique ability to address the holistic needs of individuals.
